Mary’s Gardens Exhibit Grand Opening at UD
The University of Dayton's Marian Library will open an exciting exhibit on Mary's Gardens founder, John Stokes, who donated his collection of photographs, notes, publications, and more. The exhibit will include a living indoor garden with plants chosen from Stokes's plans -- plants will be replaced four times during the exhibit's run, giving four different garden experiences. Marian Art of Asia Exhibit begins at UD
"Ex Oriente Lux: Marian Art of Asia" will feature pieces showing how Mary is perceived and represented in several Asian countries. Nov. 27-Jan. 5. As Roesch Library begins a multi-year renovation, "At the Manger" will continue, but on a smaller scale. The Marian Library will present a selection of its collection of 3,500 Nativity scenes from more than 100 countries. Black Madonnas exhibit at UD Begins
June 25-July 27. "Mary-Throne of Wisdom and Black Madonnas, Intriguing and Ancient" photos by Dennis and Patricia Aubrey explore the mysterious original and intriguing significance of "black" Madonnas in French shrines. The exhibit on the 7th floor of the Roesch Library is open to the public during library hours; free visitor parking passes available at the visitor parking information center.
