Celtic Mass at the Dayton Celtic Festival
Dayton's annual Celtic Festival will be held July 28-30 at the Riverscape MetroPark in Dayton. Activities include local and national Irish bands and headline bands from Ireland (featuring Gaelic Storm, We Banjo3, Scythian, Socks in the Frying Pan, and more) on five stages, a 5k and a bicycle ride, beverage tastings, food and drink vendors, a variety of shops and Celtic souvenir vendors, a parade of kilts, cultural displays, and a kids area. Polka Mass at Germanfest Picnic (Dayton)
Dayton's largest German festival runs from August 11-13 at Riverscape MetroPark (new location). The 34th annual festival will feature food, music, a Kidz Zone with games and rides, German vendors, a biergarten and weingarten, a 5K and a 10K run, and more. The annual Polka Mass allows attendees to spend the day (or weekend) at the festival and fulfill their Sunday obligation in a specially festive way. English/Gaelic Mass at the Dayton Celtic Festival
Mass will be celebrated in English and Gaelic at the United Irish of Dayton/Main Stage tent. Volunteers from area parishes and Irish societies will assist. The three-day festival featuring Celtic bands from Ireland and around the country is one of the largest in the United States and is free to attend; food and drink available to purchase on site. Germanfest Picnic Polka Mass in Dayton
Part of the three-day Germanfest Picnic, the Polka Mass begins at 10 a.m. The annual festival includes continuous live music all three days (featuring Alpen Echos, Chardon Polka Band, The Klaberheads, The Sauer Brats and Organgrinder Ted Guillaume), a 5K/10K, vendors, a beer garden, and more.
