Emmanuel Church, Dayton's oldest Catholic church, will end a nine-day Divine Mercy novena with a special afternoon celebrating the feast. Confessions, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Eucharistic Adoration 12:30-2 pm, Benediction 1:45 pm, 2 pm Mass, 3 pm prayer.

Eric Genuis Concert at Emmanuel Church (Dayton)
Pianist Eric Genuis will perform a "Concert of Hope" with a violinist, cellist, and vocalist. Fundraiser for Concerts of Hope, which presents music in prisons, homeless shelters, VA hospitals, and other sites where people struggle. More information to come.

Divine Mercy Sunday / Parish Mission Kickoff at Emmanuel (Dayton)
April 8-12. Emmanuel Church will begin a Parish Mission on Divine Mercy and the Eucharist with a Divine Mercy Sunday celebration. Observances start with confession and Eucharistic Adoration, continue with Mass at 2 p.m., and end with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3 p.m. Father of Mercy James Costigan will speak at 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday for the Mission.

Corpus Christi Procession in Dayton
The 17h annual Corpus Christi procession at Dayton's oldest parish will begin after 5:15 Mass. Parishioners spend all day making elaborate patterns ("carpets") with colored wood chips on the streets outside -- an Old World tradition popular in many areas, but rare in Ohio -- which the procession passes over.
