The “Educating for Life” award was established five years ago to mark the Sisters’ second century as a teaching community, and to acknowledge exceptionally dedicated women and men who share the congregation’s commitment to education. The award was presented to Wheeler in recognition of her life-long dedication to Catholic schools and students and for her contributions to the Chaminade-Julienne High School which was established by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and the Society of Mary.
