Sister Therese Sliva

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity Therese Sliva was celebrated Dec. 11 in the motherhouse chapel. Sister Therese, 85, died Dec. 6 at Mother Margaret Hall.

A native of Cleveland, Sister Therese taught primary grades at schools in Greater Cleveland for many years. She also served at Light of Hearts Villa on the grounds of the Vincentian Sisters of Charity in Bedford, along with her twin, Sister Florence, also a Sister of Charity. She later retired to the Cincinnati motherhouse.

In addition to Sister Florence, Sister Therese is survived by another sister, Mary Ann Niece, and her two brothers, Edward and Joseph.
