A Mass of Christian Burial for Precious Blood Sister Rose Ann Winkeljohn was celebrated May 20 at Salem Heights in Dayton. Sister Rose Ann, 85, died May 16 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. She was a Sister of the Precious Blood for 68 years.

A native of Celina, Sister Rose Ann spent 10 years as the librarian at Moeller High School in Cincinnati. She also worked as a school librarian in Arizona for seven years and spent 24 years as a teacher and principal in Ohio, Missouri, California, Indiana and Arizona.

Sister Rose Ann was in charge of the museum and chapels at Maria Stein Center for six years prior to her retirement to Arizona. She returned to Salem Heights in 2001.

She is survived by her three sisters, Mary Ellen and Dorothy Winkeljohn and Rita Poindexter, and a brother, Donald. Interment was in Salem Heights Cemetery.
