Sister Rosalita Losonsky

A Mass of Christian Burial for Franciscan Sister of the Poor Rosalita Losonsky was celebrated July 20 in St. Clare Convent Chapel in Hartwell. Sister Rosalita, 97, died July 15.
A native of the Bronx, N.Y., Sister Rosalita entered the community in 1932 and made her final vows in 1939. She attended the St. Mary School of nursing in Quincy, Ill., to prepare for service in the congregation’s healthcare ministry and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Dayton in 1953. Sister Rosalita served in healthcare ministry for many years, including at a maternity clinic in Brazil. She retired in 1997.
Sister Rosalita is survived by her sister, Rose. Interment was in the convent cemetery.
