A Mass of Christian Burial for Dominican Sister Marie Elizabeth Doherty was celebrated Oct. 14 in St. Catherine Chapel at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Mich. Sister Marie Elizabeth, 96, died Oct. 11. She was in her 73rd year of religious profession in the Adrian Dominican congregation.

 

Sister Marie Elizabeth spent 52 years ministering in education. In the Archdiocese of Cincinnati she was a parish visitor at St. Catharine of Siena School from 1945-47.

 

She is survived by her two sisters, Rosella Ford and Cecelia Lambert, and her brother, Carl. Interment was in the congregation’s cemetery.
