Sister M. Consuella Salmon
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of the Precious Blood M. Consuella Salmon was celebrated Nov. 9 at Salem Heights. Sister Consuella, 100, died Nov. 3 at the Maria Joseph Center in Dayton. She had been a Sister of the Precious Blood for 79 years.
A native of Denver, Sister Consuella entered the community in 1931. She ministered as elementary teacher for 45 years at Ohio schools in Minster, Glandorf, Botkins, New Riegel, Celina, Maria Stein, Dayton and Columbus Grove.
Following her teaching years, she served as a library aide at St. Peter and Paul School in Ottawa, Ohio. In 1990 Sister Consuella moved to Salem Heights, the central house of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, where she served in a number of volunteer ministries. She officially retired in 1997.
Interment was in Salem Heights Cemetery.
