Sister Lawrence Ann Scheidler

Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Lawrence Ann Scheidler died Sept. 16 at the age of 83 in Mother Margaret Hall at the Sisters of Charity motherhouse. She was a Sister of Charity for 60 years.
A native of Martinsville, Ind., she earned a bachelor’s degree in home economics from Ball State University in 1947. Two years later she entered religious life with the Sisters of Charity1949 and served in Colorado, Cincinnati, and Detroit as a therapeutic dietician. She was assigned to Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati from 1953-1956.
In 1993 she returned to the Sisters of Charity motherhouse, where she volunteered as manager of the commissary, ordering supplies, stocking shelves and operating sales each week.
In 2002 Sister Lawrence Ann moved to Mother Margaret Hall nursing facility.
She is survived by a brother, Jerome Scheidler, and a sister, Dolores Terhune Hinga.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the motherhouse on Sept. 22.
