A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of St. Francis Laurita Kroger was celebrated March 12 at the motherhouse chapel in Oldenburg, Ind. Sister Laurita, 99, died March 9. She entered the Oldenburg Franciscan community in 1936 and made her final vows in 1944.

Sister Laurita was a teacher for 28 years at schools in Indiana and Ohio. In the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, she taught at Our Lady of Angels High School. She also ministered as an administrator at Marian College for 17 years and served in community leadership as both a councilor and treasurer.

Interment was in the motherhouse cemetery.
