A Mass of Christian Burial for Dominican Sister Joanne Evans was held May 21 in St. Catherine Chapel in Adrian, Mich. Sister Joanne, 70, died May 18 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian. She was in her 54th year of religious profession in the Adrian Dominican congregation.

 
Sister Joanne’s primary ministries were education and food service. In the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, she served at St. Theresa Home from 1962-63. She became a resident of the Dominican Life Center in 2008.
 
Sister Joanne is survived by two sisters, Linda Fleming and Dominican Sister Mary Catherine Evans, and two brothers, Robert and Thomas. Interment was in the congregation’s cemetery.
