Sister Geraldine O’Hagan
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Geraldine O’Hagan was celebrated May 14 in the congregation’s motherhouse chapel.
Sister Geraldine, 83, died May 4 at Mother Margaret Hall, the congregation’s nursing facility. She was a Sister of Charity for 65 years.
A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Sister Geraldine earned a bachelor of science degree in education from the College of Mount St. Joseph and a master’s degree in education from Marygrove College in Detroit. In the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Sister Geraldine taught at St. Rita School for the Deaf: Holy Family School in Price Hill; St. Andrew School in Milford; and the former St. Saviour School in Rossmoyne. She went on to serve as receptionist for the congregation’s executive offices.
Sister Geraldine is survived by her sisters, Margaret Roa and Colleen Schmitz. Interment was in the Sisters of Charity cemetery.
