A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Genevieve Bankoski was celebrated Nov. 26 in the congregation’s motherhouse chapel. Sister Genevieve, 98, died Nov. 17 at Mother Margaret Hall. She was a Sister of Charity for 72 years.

A Detroit native, Sister Genevieve spent more than 50 years ministering as a nurse in the dioceses of Denver, Santa Fe, Pueblo, Columbus, Detroit and Cincinnati. In retirement, she resided at St. Louis Parish in Mt. Clemens, Mich., assisting with senior activities at the parish. At Mother Margaret Hall, she served as a chapel assistant and assisted the Sisters residing there.

Interment was in the Sisters of Charity cemetery.
