A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Notre Dame de Namur Francis Margaret DeBrosse was celebrated Jan. 19 at the Mount Notre Dame convent chapel. Sister Francis Margaret, 93, died Jan. 14 at the Mount Notre Dame Health Center. She was a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur for 76 years.
A native of Dayton, Sister Francis Margaret was a classroom teacher for 44 years, teaching primary grades and later high school French and English. She taught in Dayton at Immaculate Conception, Holy Angels and Julienne High School; in Hamilton at Notre Dame and Badin high schools and the Notre Dame Education Center; and in Cincinnati at Mount Notre Dame High School. She also taught in Illinois, Columbus and Chicago.
Sister Francis Margaret is survived by her brother, Cletus DeBrosse, of Atlanta. Interment was in the convent cemetery.
