A Mass of Christian Burial for Franciscan Sister of the Poor Elizabeth Mast was celebrated July 3 at St. Clare Convent Chapel in Hartwell. Sister Elizabeth, 89, died July 1.

Sister Elizabeth entered the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor in 1940 and made her final profession in 1947. She worked in the congregation’s hospitals in the business or purchasing offices, mainly at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton.

She is survived by her sisters, Alta Hildebrand, Rita Blickhan and Mary Jo Holtschlag. Interment was in Quincy, Ill.
