A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Notre Dame de Namur Anna Frances Portisch was celebrated June 7 in the Mount Notre Dame convent chapel. Sister Anna Frances, 103, died June 1 at Mount Notre Dame Health Center. A native of Columbus, she was a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur for 85 years.

 
An educator for more than 68 years, Sister Anna Frances taught at schools in Illinois, Arizona and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, including the former St. James, Holy Angels, the former Holy Rosary and Holy Trinity schools in Dayton, and St. Joseph School and Notre Dame Education Center in Hamilton.
 
In her later years Sister Anna Frances served as a tutor and adult educator at Mount Notre Dame Reading Center and the Alliance for Educational Development in Cincinnati. She retired in 1996.

Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery in Columbus.
