Pastor to sign book of daily meditations

ST. ANDREW DEANERY — Just in time to stuff those St. Nicholas Day stockings on Dec. 6, popular pastor, preacher and retreat master Father Mark Burger will sign copies of his new book Hearing God’s Voice from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Innervisions Religious Books & Gifts, 8556 Beechmont Ave.
In 1996 Father Burger used a sabbatical to live the life of a hermit in the Israeli desert for four months. In the silence of that desert, he grew closer to God and discerned the Father’s will for his life.
He shares his insights with other seeking Christians. In Hearing God’s Voice, a series of reflections originally written for the bulletin at St. John the Evangelist Church in West Chester, where he is pastor, Father Burger offers a brief meditation for each day of the year drawn from his vast reading and life experience.
Copies of Hearing God’s Voice are being sold by the parish at $13.95 per book if picked up in person, $16.95 if mailed. Checks should be made out to St. John Church. Anyone wishing to order copies can call the parish office at 513-777-6433, or e-mail [email protected].
