MARY B. LUEBBE, was born on March 19, 1928 and died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 94. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sister Rose Helene, S.C., and her brothers Vincent, Clifford, Norbert, and Ralph. She is survived by Marilyn Riehle and Kathleen O’Brien members of the Glenmary Lay missioners along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Native of Cincinnati, Mary was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph College in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1950 and was a Glenmary Lay Missioner for 64 years from August 5, 2957 until her death. This community of lay Missioners take perpetual vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Mary’s first mission assignment was in Morehead, Kentucky. She later worked in parishes in West Union, Ohio; West Point, Mississippi; Antlers, Oklahoma; Sylvania, Georgia; and Corbin, Kentucky.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Archbishop Leibold Home on Riddle Road where Mary lived for 12 years under the devoted care of The Little Sisters of the Poor. Burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, Hamilton County, Ohio.
