Dominican Father Boniface Endorf will present “Trust Not in Princes,” a talk about hope and despair in politics, as part of the parish’s  ongoing Adult Faith Formation Program.

“Many Catholicchoose not to participate in political dialogue due to the contentious and hyperbolic rhetoric that often comes with opposing viewpoints,” said Fr. Clement Dickie, O.P., parochial vicar at St. Gertrude. “On the other hand, some Catholics invest all of their energy in today’s policy debates. It is imperative that Catholics fully participate in this dialogue and not disappear from political life, but remember they belong to kingdom not of this world.” Father Boniface will look at what Catholics should consider regarding the participation in political life, the actions to take, and what is exactly at stake in an election. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, New York University School of Law, and the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC., Father Boniface currently serves as vicar at St. Patrick’s Church in Columbus, Ohio.
