Talk by St. John’s Bible Calligrapher at XU

FreeNationally known calligrapher Diane von Arx, a contributor to the first illuminated Bible commissioned from top calligraphers in 500 years, will present “Special Treatment Illuminations for the Saint John’s Bible,” a free talk about her contributions to the Wisdom Books in the Saint John’s Bible. XU’s volume of the Wisdom books, the latest in the library’s acquisition of the limited-edition, seven-volume set, will be on display at the talk along with a display of tools, quills, and inks. The talk talks place at Conaton Learning Commons – Kennedy Auditorium. XU is the only institution in Cincinnati to own the St. John Bible; the volumes are available to the public during library hours.
