Join the 17 new Dominican novices (one, Eric, is from Dayton) at Mass following a private ceremony in which they receive the Dominican habit. Each year on the Feast of St. Dominic, a new class of novices for the Province of St. Joseph (Eastern United States) arrives to spend a year at St. Gertrude, living the life of a Dominican friar as they discern their call to be Dominican priests or brothers. Although the ceremony is private, the feast day celebration is open to all.
