Commitment to Service at Mercy McAuley
Service is one of the hallmarks of a Mercy McAuley High School education. Throughout the year, Mercy McAuley students participate in a variety of service projects that strengthen their faith, improve the community and prove how they can make a difference in the world.
This past summer, a group of Mercy McAuley students and employees participated in an immersion retreat with St. Vincent de Paul’s Ozanam Center for Service Learning. They spent time directly serving neighbors, learning about local issues surrounding poverty, and reflecting on the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
Additional service projects underway this fall include Mercy McAuley’s St. Boniface Buddies program, as well as the annual Thanksgiving meal collection for Christ’s Community in College Hill.
