Canterbury Road is a musical comedy featuring the ‘Canterbury Tales’ that Geoffrey Chaucer never got around to telling. Mount Notre Dame teachers Tom Geier (book and lyrics) and Wayne Peppercorn (music) have collaborated on a farcical play featuring song, dance, Lady Godiva, Sandro Botticelli, Robin “The Hood” and a female demon named Lucyfer. Medieval lunacy prevails and a jolly good time is guaranteed for all.
Canterbury marks the second collaboration between Geier and Peppercorn. Last fall, the duo premiered Shakespeare’s Women at Mount Notre Dame. That work received attention from the NKU film festival, as well as other high schools, both locally and regionally.
