A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Marie Helen Ankenbrandt was celebrated July 9 in the congregation’s motherhouse chapel. Sister Marie Helen, 85, died June 28, at her home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was a Sister of Charity for 67 years.  

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Rose Elizabeth Bumgarner was celebrated on July 2 in the congregation’s motherhouse chapel. Sister Rose Elizabeth, 81, died June 26, at Mother Margaret Hall, the nursing facility for the congregation. She was a Sister of Charity for 63 years. …

A Mass of Christian Burial for Army Staff Sgt. Robert Massarelli was celebrated July 7 at St. Julie Billiart Parish in Hamilton. Massarelli, 32, died on June 24 while serving in Kandahar, Afghanistan with the U.S. Army’s 96th Transportation Company out of Fort Hood, Texas.  

July 31, 2012 DAYTON — Artists and volunteers helped transform an empty building wall into a canvas that captures memories and the history of Precious Blood Church in Dayton earlier this summer.

July 31, 2012 DAYTON — Father Benedict O’Cinnsealeigh, president/rector of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, was the keynote and afternoon lead speaker at the July 7 Dayton Area Catholic Men’s Conference. The conference drew 119 participants.

July 31, 2012 On June 26, retired Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk was honored with the 2012 Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Award.
