BLUE ASH, OHIO — Ursuline Academy has named alumna Patricia Norton Boehm, Ed.D., as its next president, effective July 1. Boehm ‘94, who currently serves as Ursuline’s interim president, was unanimously selected by the board of trustees Wednesday evening following a thorough national search.

Boehm brings extensive school leadership experience to the role and boasts strong Ursuline ties as an alumna, administrator, and current parent. Since assuming the interim position last summer, she has developed a comprehensive plan to improve Ursuline’s organizational structure and revamped the admissions and enrollment experience, among other accomplishments.

“I am honored to lead my alma mater at this pivotal time,” Boehm said. “Ursuline provided me with a transformative educational experience, and it is a privilege to help make that experience possible for young women today. I look forward to cultivating the next branches of our laurel legacy.”

Board Chair Colleen Devanney ’01 said the search committee and board were impressed with Boehm’s deep commitment to Ursuline’s mission as a Catholic all-girls high school, her leadership skills, and her acumen for strategic planning.

“We were intent on finding a passionate leader who could provide strategic guidance in key areas, such as operations, admissions and enrollment, development, communications, and finance,” Devanney said. “We have found that leader in Dr. Boehm.”

Prior to assuming the interim presidency, Boehm served as Ursuline’s major gifts officer. She returned to the Cincinnati area from Mobile, Alabama, where she served as the associate head of school for UMS-Wright Preparatory School.

Boehm earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education at Miami University and began her education career teaching in classrooms in Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina. She went on to earn master’s and doctoral degrees in educational leadership from High Point University and served in leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility at Davidson County Schools in North Carolina and at UMS-Wright.

She and her husband Adam have two children, Isabella ’26 and Nolan.
