Lehman Catholic announced the hiring of Chris Kash as the next Head Varsity Football Coach. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the football program. He has previous football coaching experience at large-school programs including Wayne, Tri-County North, Bethel, and Brookville. He has coached on all sides of the ball—offense, defense, and special teams. Chris has a proven record of connecting with student-athletes along with excellent communication and administrations skills. He has coached students who went on to be Division I college athletes and professional players; Chris also has experience coaching a team that made it to a state title game. Most importantly, Chris brings Lehman’s Catholic Christian values to the field with an approach that teaches the importance of faith and values over the win.

Lehman Catholic conducted an extensive hiring process to select their new head coach. A committee of five representing our three major communities, Sidney, Piqua, and Troy led the interview process. Ten applicants applied for the role, four went through the first round of interviews, and two had second interviews before Chris was chosen as the best candidate for the job.

“I am looking forward to working with these student-athletes and building towards the future in the Three Rivers Conference,” said Chris Kash. “My goal will be to build character on and off the field, get them to play to their highest God-given potential, and become passionate about playing football. I will teach them to be leaders in the school and in their community.”

“The hiring committee was impressed with Chris’ coaching background, relationship building, communication, and administration skills,” said Josh Ater, President. “I am excited for our football players and look forward to supporting Chris as he continues to build on the great tradition of our football program.”
