Father Burger was selected for this award for “the many profound ways he has had an impact on the students of St. Gabriel’s” through Masses and classroom visits.

The Father John Porter Keystone Award is given in honor of Father Porter, who served as pastor at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Liberty Township, was heavily involved in the consolidation of St. Gabriel in the early 1990s and was a staunch supporter of the school. He is now retired.
