Lay Movements as Structures of Grace Conference begins at MSJ

$40July 6-8. Academic conference will explore the legacy of Cardinal Joseph Cardijnand the Young Christian Workers/Catholic Action movement in the Americas 50 years after his death, focusing on: a) The history of the Jocist movements in the USA in particular and the Americas in general; b) the academic relevance of the Cardijn legacy in local parish life and in a Catholic higher educational context, and c) workshopping Cardijn’s ” See-Judge-Act” method to help Catholic educators, campus ministers, pastoral associates, and lay organization leadership facilitate the discussion and understanding of political, economic, and sociocultural issues in local contexts. $40 fee ($20 students include a private bed dormitory equipped with AC and private bathroom, dinner Friday, all meals Saturday, and breakfast Sunday.
