Sister Theresina Ross

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Theresina Ross was celebrated May 18 in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at the congregation’s motherhouse. Sister Theresina, 96, died May 12 at Mother Margaret Hall. She was a Sister of Charity for 76 years.
A native of Springfield, Sister Theresina spent nearly 60 years in education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from both the Athenaeum of Ohio and the College of Mount St. Joseph. She taught at St. Lawrence School and the former St. Anthony School in Cincinnati; St. Joseph Orphanage in Cincinnati; the former Sacred Heart School in Dayton; the former St. Elizabeth School in Norwood; and the former Holy Cross School in Cincinnati.
She also taught at the former St. Teresa School and the former St. Joseph School, both in Springfield, as well as in Tennessee, Michigan and at other schools in Ohio. In addition, Sister Theresina taught at the Reading Center, an on-campus tutoring facility for elementary students at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
Interment was in the Sisters of Charity cemetery.
