A Mass of Christian Burial for Dominican Father Charles Albert Farrell was celebrated March 11 at St. Gertrude Parish in Madeira. Father Farrell, 92, died March 6 of pneumonia at the Mohun Health Care Center of the Dominican Sisters of Peace in Columbus.

 
Father Farrell entered the Dominican novitiate of the Province of St. Joseph in 1946 in Springfield, Ky., and was ordained a priest eight years later. For most of his ministry Father Farrell served as a parish priest and helped train young Dominican friars. He was based in several cities.
 
Father Farrell came to St. Gertrude Priory in 2001 and was a senior member of the novitiate community. He moved to the Mohun Health Care Center last October due to declining health.
 
Interment was in the Dominican plot at St. Joseph Cemetery in Somerset, Ky.
