A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Mary Josephine Bensman was celebrated March 14 at the motherhouse chapel. Sister Mary Josephine, 94, died March 11 at Mother Margaret Hall. She was a Sister of Charity of Cincinnati for 94 years.

A native of St. Patrick, Ohio, she began her ministry in nutrition at the congregation’s motherhouse. She also served in food service in Colorado. For 14 years, she prepared meals for the Sisters living on mission at Little Flower Convent in Cincinnati. She later served in nutrition and as a housekeeper at the motherhouse.

Sister Mary Josephine is survived by her sister, Sister Maria Joseph, and her brother, Precious Blood Father John Bensman. Interment was in the Sisters of Charity cemetery.
