A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister of Mercy of the Holy Cross Laura Kropilnicki was celebrated April 19 in Holy Cross Chapel at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, Wis. Sister Laura, 87, died April 3. She was in her 66^th year of ministry as a Holy Cross Sister.

Sister Laura spent the majority of her ministry as an elementary school teacher. Her assignments took her throughout the United States, including the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. She retired in 1996.

Interment was St. Francis Cemetery in Merrill.
