2023 Archdiocese of Cincinnati Priest Ordination Video
While God made his entire people a royal priesthood in Christ, Jesus chooses certain disciples to carry out publicly in His name the priestly office in the Church. Lord God, may it please you to consecrate this chalice by this anointing and our blessing in Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with you forever and ever. Amen. Today, my dear brothers, He calls you to that office. He calls you to shepherd His people in a unique way patterned on His own life of service and sacrifice.
Most Reverend Father, Holy Mother Church asks you to ordain these men, our brothers, to the responsibility of the priesthood.
I testify that they have been found worthy.
Let those who are to be ordained priests come forward.
Jonathan Michael George Jergens
My dear brothers, on our own we are ill-equipped and inadequate to do the work of God—Moses, Paul, Peter, you and I.
Isaiah Malachi Ignatius Callan
Do you promise respect and obedience to me and my successors? I do. May God, who has begun the good work in you, bring it to fulfillment.
Our Lord in inviting you to open your heart to His love and to be an instrument of His mercy.
Alex Thomas Maximilian Dugas
The love of God is rooted in an authentic relationship with the person of Jesus Christ.
Jeffrey Alexander Pio Stephens
And love of God is give flesh and substance in our feeble efforts to selflessly serve the people whom God has entrusted to our pastoral care.
Stephen James Joseph Hughes
May the Lord Jesus Christ, whom the Father anointed with the Holy Spirit and power, guard and preserve you.

Understand what you will do, imitate what you will celebrate, and conform your life to the mystery of the Lord’s cross.
Trust in the grace of God but always remember that you, too, are in need of God’s continued presence, love and mercy.

My dear brothers, God’s people are looking to you for answers to their questions.
In return, they will enable you to proclaim with an ever deeper sense of certainty the words
Peter spoke to Christ on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
